Dipika Pallikal and Harinderpal Singh Sandhu won the title in china, Dinesh Karthik said – proud of you

India’s star squash player Dipika Pallikal Karthik and her partner Harinderpal Singh Sandhu created history in China. The pair won the Asian Squash Mixed Doubles title. During this campaign, Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik’s wife and her partner also beat the players of Pakistan in the semi-finals of this tournament in China.

The experienced Indian pair of Dipika and Sandhu defeated Ivan and Rachael 11-10, 11-8 to clinch the title. The journey till the final has not been easy for this Indian pair. They defeated the Malaysian pair of Ayra Ajman and Shafiq Kamal in the quarter-finals and then defeated the Pakistani pair of Tayyab Aslam and Faiza Zafar in the semi-finals.

Dinesh Karthik did an emotional tweet on raising the Indian flag in China. While sharing the picture of wife Deepika Pallikal, he wrote – Very happy to see this. Proud husband. Dinesh Karthik’s second marriage was with Deepika. Deepika is also an athlete like husband DK. She represents India in Squash. Dipika and Karthik got engaged in 2013, while the couple got married in 2015. In 2021, Deepika became the mother of twin sons of Dinesh.

On the other hand, India ended their campaign in the tournament with two medals, including a bronze by the pair of Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh. The Indian pair lost in the semi-finals to the pair of Evan Yuen and Rachael Arnold.
