The government of Odisha authorises 11 projects totaling Rs. 2,840.73 crore

According to an official, the Odisha government on Monday authorised 11 industrial projects worth Rs. 2840.73 crore that will create jobs for more than 3700 people.
The 11 proposals were authorised by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), which is led by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena. Nine of the submissions were from firms who took part in the Make in Odisha Conclave 2022.
The districts of Bolangir, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh will host the construction of the approved projects.
The Aditya Birla Group's Utkal Alumina International Ltd. and Hindalco Industries Ltd.'s expansion plans in the Rayagada area and Lapanga, Sambalpur, respectively, which call for a combined investment of around Rs 1,000 crore, have been authorised by the state government.
The proposal of RCR Steel Works Private Ltd to build a steel mill in Jamda in the Mayurbhanj district, requiring an expenditure of Rs 896.98 crore, has also been accepted by the state.
A resort to be built on Somolo Island in Chilika Lake in the Ganjam district, with an investment of Rs 228.45 crore, proposed by Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd, was also authorised.
The committee gave the go-ahead for Ion Exchange (India) Ltd.'s plan to build a manufacturing facility in Paradeep for Rs 303 crore in the chemicals industry.
With an investment of Rs 100 crore, Indian Stitches Private Ltd has proposed building a fabric processing facility in Khordha.
The government has given the green light to Taj SATs Ltd.'s project plan to establish food processing and packaging facilities in Khordha. A 51 crore rupee investment has been made in the project.
Additionally, the bids from Seetharama Agro Industries Pvt Ltd ($101 crore), Indopet Polymer Pvt Ltd ($52 crore), Vibhor Steel Tubes Pvt Ltd ($70 crore), and ROMCO Aluminates Pvt Ltd ($54 crore) were also approved.
