Bhumika Chawla reveals she ‘felt bad’ for not being invited on The Kapil Sharma Show – Times of India

In a candid chat with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Bhumika Chawla opened up about not being invited to The Kapil Sharma Show for the promotion of her latest release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.The rest of the actors of the film including Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, Pooja Hegde and Jassie Gill were pretty much there along with Salman Khan.Talking about her absence, Bhumika said, “I had no idea when it was shot. But they must have had some strategy. I felt bad for one second then I thought Venkatesh sir wasn’t there. We are a couple in the film. I did my calculation. Since he wasn’t called, what would I say alone? Those three couples were called, they are youngsters, their equation is different. So, I said ‘theek hai (it’s okay)’.”Bhumika added that she doesn’t let things affect her for too long and it’s because of her ego that she doesn’t go around asking people for any favour. She shared that she’d do PR if that came with a guarantee of her next film.She said, “Mujhe PR karna hai toh main bhi kar sakti hun but PR ke bawajood agar guaranteed mujhe film milegi toh mai aaj Kapil Sharma ko call karke bolungi call me.”It’s not the first time that Kapil’s show has been slammed by a celebrity. Raftaar also recently spoke about TKSS being ‘shoshebaazi’.He said, “Basically, kya hota hai, dekh humne kaam kar liya, wahan jaakar yeh dikhana hota hai ke hum bahut bade hai (Basically what happens is this, we do the work, but when we go there, we have to show that we are big people).The rapper further added, “Shoshebaazi hai, junta ke saamne izzat ban jaati hai, bahut bade lagte hai, ghar pe jab maa baap dekhte hai, woh kehte hai ‘Woh The Kapil Sharma Show pe aaya tha,’ gali-kooche mein hawa ban jaati hai warna uska real-world value kuch nahi hai (It’s all show-off. It helps build a reputation in front of the public, you look big, even when parents watch it, they feel proud that you’ve appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show. People start to talk about it though that person has no real value otherwise).”
